Young talent is taken care well by Advertising Schools

The rapid growing sector of the communication and advertising industry has evolved to become the most preferable choice of young professionals in India. Schools of advertising offer the best learning ground to the students and provide the right stepping stone towards a successful career in Communication industry. Graduate and under graduate programme in advertising helps you preparing well enough to meet with the requirements of this demanding career.

Even advertising agencies prefer trained and qualified graduates as they have the better understanding of the profession. Catering to this flourishing industry, the number of advertising schools is increasing day by day. Most of these colleges are concentrated in metropolitan cities because of the presence of advertising agencies. Advertising institutes focus majorly on imparting practical knowledge and live experience of the work rather than concentrating on classroom learning.

Also, the faculty is visiting here, who either are working in some agency or have already worked in the past. Well, this is an additive advantage to the students. People who already have the experience can explain things better than those who have learnt from books. Students are given more creative and analytical assignments to do so that their observation power could be developed. They are encouraged more towards thought creation process, which eventually leads to generation of new and innovative ideas.

Some of the good advertising instates known for advertising courses are Mudra Institute of Communication Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, JNU Campus, Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, WLCI Advertising & Graphic Design School and YMCA College. All these colleges have shown excellent record in the recent past and are known for their superior services. For more information, students can visit the official website of these colleges.

Privatization of education may change its picture in Indian Subcontinent

It is widely accepted that India’s education system has and continues to fail the vast majority of its population. Ironically, the country’s success in establishing a globally competitive service sector has, if anything, underscored that failure. Poor quality, however, is not the only problem. The other is access – vast numbers of children simply do not enter the primary education system or leave it too early. Literacy and enrollment are particularly low among women and other marginalized groups. When the situation is so worse at basic level education, what can be expected in regard to business management programmes and other higher education. This failure is most glaring when comparing India with China where illiteracy, at least, has been substantially eradicated.

These problems persist despite several initiatives by the Central government to improve outcomes. Increasingly, therefore, liberal economists, international development agencies, and philanthropies have called for a shift towards greater privatization of primary and higher education. In particular, calls emerge to disconnect the funding of education from its operation, through the provision of education vouchers.

Privatization has worked well in several situations in India. Yet as the belief that it works everywhere gains greater currency, there is a need to evaluate if education is also amenable to privatization.

The concept of collabrative education

Collaborative Learning- A must for successful life - Collaborative Learning as the name suggests is somewhat derived from word collaboration and is a state where two or more people learn or attempt to learn something with mutual effort. In today’s era where competition has increased at large, the interaction with different group of people is utmost important, this is where collaborative learning comes handy as it helps in interacting with different people and exchange of ideas among them, which in turn becomes effective learning.

There are many advantages of collaborative learning which other wise are not taught in regular business management colleges and courses. Also one more aspect which can be looked at is the collaboration of different foreign universities with national universities. This collaboration leads to student exchange program  where the students from national universities are sent to foreign universities which not only help them in better quality of education but also a chance to learn the diversified culture along with the interaction with eminent personnel.

So we have seen that collaborative learning in this modern and competitive environment plays a part and parcel for the development of personality of human individual thus making it fit and suitable to compete, survive and excel in the field he/she specializes in.

Improvement in education quality is the need of an hour

Its time that in India, quality orientation starts taking precedence over quantity. Specifically, for Indian higher management education, in the immediate short term, the priority both at the institutional and policy level should be competitiveness and quality and not expansion. If the system is inefficient and one continues to expand it without focus on quality the result would be an expanded inefficient system. If more than 1/4th of the graduates remain unemployed, why increase the sheer volume of unemployed? Why not focus on making them skilled and employable?

To make that happen, our education has to make those reforms and changes and need to work on the quality of the educational courses and programmes. Education institutes in India has to show that sign of improvement so that it can actually engage students and encourage them for not taking abroad for their final education destination. The Indian government has to work on lot of things to make this happen. There are a lot of segments which need total make over and constant guide. Besides, we as a part of nation has to put our own efforts, which again will be helping hands to the government.

It is important to create a creative bend in the mind of our youth

If the 3 are integrated in an optimum manner, it will allow India to enjoy an edge over the other economies from the point of view of technology.

This in turn would also allow students to have an innovative bent of mind. This can be achieved by introducing newer academic curricula in the business management education system so that students remain informed about the latest technological developments that are taking place worldwide.

The former chairman spoke at length about the education scenario in India and how to improve it at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology as he was speaking at Prof V.G Bhide Memorial lecture.

This is a serious concern that in India, students don’t make use of education, research, and technology simultaneously. In fact, it is important that knowledge should be translated to research and research into newer products and developing technical know-how. It is also to be stated that the colleges and the universities in India should not only aim at awarding degrees to students but should make sure that the education earned can be applied in real life.

The course curricula should essentially be research oriented. When asked about India not producing too many Nobel laureates in the field of Science, he said that the main reason is that there are very few instances when original work is available. In order that there is more number of original piece of work, it is important to boost research and innovation in the country. The former chairperson of Atomic Energy Commission cited few examples that can be incorporated in the education system of India.

Introducing virtual universities in the country quite same as Homi Bhabha National Institute can to a great extent help students. Also the concept of affiliated colleges can be changed as it is in the case of China, where students grow up without the affiliated college concept. The education system is quite different in China where there are individual university campuses and every university has a Science Park of its own. These campuses mostly have residential students.
